Let your life be an open book. There is no business your spouse should not know about. There is no secret friendship your spouse should not know about. Keep no secret and hide nothing. Be open and transparent, be reachable and accessible at all times, and be truthful and honest. Be where you said you would be. If the unexpected happens as they sometimes do, call your spouse and update them honestly. If you are doing anything that you do not want your spouse to find out then you should not be doing that thing. If you have a friendship or relationship that your spouse should not know about, then you should not have that friendship or relationship. If you have anything on your phone or computer that you do not want your spouse to see or know about, then you should not have that thing on your phone. If you receive calls or text messages that you do not want your spouse to hear or read then you should not receive them and the numbers should be blocked from your phone. There is no room for secrets in marriage. Give your spouse open access to your entire life. If you have nothing to hide, you will hide nothing. Transparency is the foundation on which deep intimacy is built.
